Texas has a website that lists businesses that ban guns with the correct and incorrect signage. Is there one for NM somewhere? I am spending a week in the Santa Fe area next month and would like to know when to leave my gun at the house. It only pertains to restaurants and a jewelry store type location for me, otherwise I wont be in Santa Fe proper. ETA: Also I dont see any exemptions for active or retired police officers, is that accurate? |

I know it's cliche, but concealed means concealed? I've noticed more signs telling people concealed carry is legal, open isn't. As far as I'm aware, no carry signs only mean they can ask you to leave, and you aren't committing a crime unless they ask you to leave and you don't, at which point it's trespassing |

I didnt see many signs, however there was no way to know if any specific place is prohibited or not before you already walk in and commit a crime if they serve margaritas. Concealed is concealed until you have to use it and then get booked for a felony for violating their assinine carry laws. And they will do it, even if self defense is legit. But in their view though, its not legit if they ban your gun, so I dont go into places, concealed or not, if it's illegal in antigun states. Since I dont go into bars, it not relevant, however if I go to get a lunch taco at a place that HAS a bar 10 feet away nearby, seems to me thats banned in NM. |
