Just over the western border of PA, at Southington Hunt club, we will be hosting our 2nd annual Big Bore Blast MG/DD shoot and show. Admission proces have actually gone down for this year, and presale tickets are even cheaper. So mark your calendars and make your plans for the biggest and baddest shoot East of the Mississippi River.  The mortar and Grenade launcher competition are back again this year for owners of those particular guns. PA's own Washington County Machine Guns will have their arsenal of rentals available, alongside ChevTec Group. More ranges will be open this year for attendees to try out fun items and get some practice in. Make sure you take some time to shoot the Roger's range and the jungle walk. Unfortunately the firing line positions sold out in the first 12 hours of going public. While I would like to have an open firing line like last year, it'd simply be impossible to keep it fair. With amount of interest we have, we would be having people drive 8 hours to get there pulling an anti-tank gun or live tank, only to be beat by a group of guys with Ar15s and super safeties blocking off half the line for their buddies(not that I dislike SS and ARs). We are currently looking at having a second firing line set up for walk up shooters. But the main firing line is booked solid and has a waiting list. I should know more next week. |

That's the shit that used to happen at Bulletfest. I would drive in from Philly and have to beg and barter for a line spot. The last year I went, I had a buddy drive in from Pittsburgh the day before and stake a claim for line space. He shot all my guns and ammo for free that year. |

The Marietta shoot was like that as well when it got busy. We would be there waiting for them to open the gate. Bulletfest had a huge line and still filled up. If there is space, people will take it. |

Meh….ill wait for a future shoot then. I certainly appreciate the effort to put this together…but not driving all the way there to watch other people shoot. |

I understand. But most knob creek regulars would say the gunshow was the best part. I already have a lot of people messaging me on different platforms asking "can I bring my semi auto rifles to shoot?" We have guys driving from Arizona and towing cannons from multiple states away. Reserved firing line spots is the only way a public event like this can function safely. We even offered smaller spots as an option to give a chance to guys that just have a few MGs to shoot. We are really pushing for more spectator attendance and vendor attendance this year. As spectators increase, so do the vendors. We also have a lot of cool exhibitors that are planning on coming as well. |
