Hey all, The Mrs and I are tired of all the ruination of the once great Golden state (Kommiefornia). We're looking at properties in WV around the Princeton area(s). Before you say, "Oh s#!t, another Californian" let me assure you that the blue politics will NOT be following us. The whole object is to get away from Gavin Gruesome and his ilk. I'm 70 yo, Kalifornia born and bred, and can't wait 'til it's a vision in my rear view mirror, and there will be no going back, but I digress here My question are: 1) Are there any gun stores in the area,and 2) are there any shooting ranges/shooting areas in the Princeton area? Princeton area? You are in luck. Gun store on every corner and a 2-way gun range at the Green Valley trailer park every Saturday night. Just kidding. Quick search has 4 shops in the area. Capitol Armory's WV dealer for their "suppressor to your door" program is in Princeton. Not sure about ranges in the area. If looking for housing or land, I'd stay north and/or east of Princeton. Gets pretty rugged to the west. There are a couple of good shops just up the turnpike in Beckley. I prefer Shooters Roost in that area. If you want to take a little drive up Rt 20, Park Center Sporting Goods is about the best around in the southern part of the state. WV is Constitutional Carry and has no sales tax on guns or ammo. Stock up on NFA items to your hearts desire. Little warning about the weather here though. Was about 70 degrees today, supposed to get a couple inches of snow Thursday night.

Bluestone has a range and there is a long distance range just outside of Hinton on the south side. I’m not familiar with the Princeton area. Also, I like Bridgeport Equipment Company in Beckley, they have a good ammo and gun selection. Welcome to West Virginia. |

You mean he didn't look over his shoulder at Mikey when filling out the 4473  Op You have to leave mt dew and pepperoni rolls out once a year for the mothman

| I lived in Ghent/ Cool Ridge for many years before moving to South Carolina. About halfway between Princeton to the south and Beckley to the north. Beckley Gun Club is a members only club, but they have a very nice range at Ghent that was a 10 minute drive for me. 500 yard rifle range where they do DCM matches. Several pistol/all purpose ranges and Skeet and trap as well. Worth looking in to, and if you like country life and seclusion you might find an old farm to buy. |
