Hi all, I have an Iowa CCW and a nonresident MN CCW as I was not a permanent resident yet. I am now a permanent resident of MN and want to get a resident CCW I am going to get my MN drivers license sometime this month or next and am curious if I have to take an online course and a range qual again to get a resident CCW? From what I've found I have to get the licenses in the county I reside, which is fine, but I am not sure about the nonresident to resident transition Anyone go through this before? Thanks! |

The obvious answer is treat it like what it is....a change of address. FROM BCA Website "Yes, a permit holder is required to notify the issuing sheriff’s office within 30 days of a permanent address change. Failure to do so is a petty misdemeanor." |
