Long story short, I've got a bag with a broken buckle on it - the company who made it isn't going to touch it - it's more than 10 years old and well out of warranty; they don't even sell anything like it anymore though they do sell replacement buckles. I need someone who can undo the stitching, replace the part, and re-do the heavy duty stitching. It's not really something that can be manually done (I mean I guess it could, if I had a super heavy duty bobbin on a heavy duty sewing machine and heavy duty thread and the ability to sew correctly  )...Is there anyone in the area who is set up for this kind of thing? It's not a big job, I just don't know where to get it worked on. |

Where are you located? You're probably looking at some place that makes tarps or boat covers of some type, and would be willing to do a small job that isn't going to make them any money. I've heard good things about this guy from my neighbor who owns a boat shop. I'm going to contact him in a few months for a new boat cover. Maybe it's worth calling him. I'm west of the Cities, by Cokato - but that is an awesome point, thank you...there's a canvas place I think in Montrose that's fairly close and might be able to do exactly this, though I can't remember if they closed and moved or not. I know there's one in Cokato as well... |
