Hot damn! About time!!!

https://www.nraila.org/articles/20250620/minnesota-shotgun-only-hunting-zones-repealed

Edit to add; bummer, set to be effective Jan 1, 2026 so looks like it's "AR pistol" for one more season however counties can pass an ordinance to implement the change for this hunting season.

I wonder if Wright County will allow rifles this or next year?  It's heavily populated in the northeast and east.

I'm not sure of many places that I would even need a rifle??

We're not Montana, unless you're over a bean field, you can't hardly see a deer 200+ yards.

I do like the thought of being able to use my milsurps more often though. 😎

I've only been in a position 2 or 3 times to take a deer over 150yds, and only 1 over 200yds.

I've always preferred a shotgun if I'm hunting in the woods.
