The team leader course in Forest (You can see it from the interstate) is only open for special advents. He told me to watch the Jackson newspaper for postings of them. But down the road is a simi private range. I shoot there once a week. 100 yrd rifle and a 25 yrs pistol. Unless I take my sons with me, I have the place to myself
There was a public range in Meridian. Word is some fudd was screwing around and they closed it to the public. Now just LEO can shoot there.

Matthew Robinson from the Lee / Pontotoc county line, here.

So... How about narrowing it down to Northeast Mississippi? Anyone from Lee, Pontotoc, Union, Itawamba, Chickasaw, Monroe, or surrounding counties interested in getting together for some shootin'?

Live in Prentiss, work in Lee/Union.

Would be up for a NE Ms Arfcom gathering.

Sounds like a good plan - we could use a little "pre-season" get together before it warms up enough for much outdoor shooting; i.e. IDPA/IPSC.

I'll start a therad and we can see if there's any interest.

What's the scoop on the semi-private place?  Who do I contact?

HEY DAVIS 9588, i like it out here also  thats where i tell people im from when im out of state . And that we have to ride the mule bareback to town , im right in your area
off of canal road .  you need to come shoot with us at the coast rifle pistol club  on highway 67. we have a combat rifle match every 3rd sat.  you dont have to be a member  cost 5 bucks and its  lots of fun  we are just getting it started but the last few have been a blast. The guys that are running it have been very creative with very interesting stages you will need about a 100 rounds for rifle and bring a pistol with about 20 rounds . we need more shooters its been hard getting people to come out and shoot with us so far the most shooters we have had show up are 8 and a couple of those were law enforcement guys i wish we could get more of them to come out.
so come out and have some fun you will love it.

Hi, I'm a new guy here located in Jones County, city of Laurel.

I just acquired a Bushmaster M4/A3 and so far, I love it. Also just ordered my Glock 20 (10MM). I've had model 21s in the past but thought I'd try out the 10MM this time around.

Looking forward to getting back into the gun scene in a big way.

Do you know of the 100 yard range in Brooklyn? (I'm assuming its still open)

That's not too far from Hattiesburg. Open to the public and free. We actually used to make the trip up there from the coast sometimes.
