Loaded means the pull of the trigger (safety) and gun fires, not loaded is two actions away from firing. Why are you asking? In idaho you can carry any gun (rifle, handgun, and shotgun) loaded in your car without issue. |
| I'm asking because here a rifle isn't loaded as long as there isn't a live round in the chamber. A lot of the time I have a lever action rifle in the truck with shells in the magazine and I don't want to break the law if I cross into Idaho. In some states having a loaded magazine in a vehicle is against the law. I would also like to know the law in Utah, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota which are the states I'm most likely to be in. |
