More pics of yet another custom built rifle.  Not sure if the owner has an account here, but thought I would share it.

Thank you Brandi,

If I can find the specs for it again I will post them.

ETA:

Very nice! Those compact Kimber's shoot nice.  My sister has a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry II .45acp with the Crimson Trace laser grips.  It shoots very well and is an absolutely gorgeous looking pistol in my opinion.

My final Black Friday purchase came in the mail today and now I am officially part of the club.

"Old" 16" on the left, new 11.5" on the right. This one will be kept in a KISS configuration.

I really don't know why but I've never taken pictures of this rifle before.  It took me a lot longer than I expected just to find scope bases that would let me fit my scope on this long action and then I had to decide on rings.  I went with the recommendation from my source of gun related information, Obi Dan Kenobi, and chose a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10X42 BDC for it.  I've had the rifle for probably 4 years or more but it's basically still brand new, maybe 25 shots through it total.  It's a Savage 116 FCSS "Weather Warrior" .30-06 with the Accu-Stock and Accu-Trigger.  They are extremely accurate rifles and from what I've seen of this one, in a short time, it's living up to the reputation.  I'm looking forward to getting it dialed in (along with most of my scoped rifles LOL).

That's a sweet wheelie.  I'm curious, why not just get a .44 magnum Redhawk?  What do you gain by having a Redhawk barrel on a SRH Alaskan? Is the Alaskan a smaller frame?

The double spring action on a srh and gp100 feel better and tunes better vs the unique single mainspring action on a redhawk. The action of the super redhawk is just like the gp100  where the redhawk is just like the older security six.  The single spring design the mainspring of the redhawk acts as both the hammer spring and the trigger return spring.  It doesn't feel as good to me and is more susceptible to light strikes especially if you use a reduced power spring.

Also the grip spike makes for more grip options that just feel better and look better.  I'm not sure I like these grips over the hogue monogrip I have but I'm gonna give them a try.

That's a nice one!

I have a full size M&P40, had it a couple years, but it still has the horrible trigger in it.  I love the feel of the gun but shooting it is pointless until I can afford an Apex trigger kit because it shoots all over the place.  Post up how it shoots, I'm really curious.

Raptor CH
Battle Arms Development 45* ambi safety
BCM GF grip, BCM KAG
VLTOR IMOD stock

Very nice, I like the streamline look of it.

You get mega props for including the specs with your picture!  I hate when someone posts something cool, interesting or both and doesn't include the specs or anything about it.

Hmmm....I'm not a fan of the look.  If you had even the buttstock the same color as the handrail, it might work but, as is, it's screaming to match color.  That said, it's your rifle, if you like it, don't change anything.
