Number one son is going in for jury duty tomorrow. He gets paid the very generous $10 for a half-day. Does the court provide lunch too? Or are the cases finished by lunch time? This is Washington County. |

He said "Yes" and they let him go. I wonder what would their reaction if he smiled and said, "Oh yes, yes..." My wife is wondering if it's the Kohlberger trial; he's accused of killing 4 students in their beds. He's gotten a change of venue because of the pretrial publicity. |

I got excused earlier this year without answering any questions. Called 24 people, only needed 6. The defense attorney knew a lot about us beforehand, reminded me of the "Bull" tv show. Best part was one guy knew the judge, prosecutor, and defense attorney. He was an attorney as well.

I knew the Defense Attorney and was best friends with the arresting Officer I still got empaneled on the jury  There were numerous people who were quizzed before they got to me Starting out I figured there was not a chance in hell I would be selected. By the time they got to me, I would have been shocked had they not selected me. Between the people who openly told the judge they didn't want to be there, the people who struggled to form coherent sentences, and those who had negative feelings toward the police/judicial system, the pool was pretty small. |

| I learned real quick why they call jurors “The Rocks in the Box.” Thats also why a few people I’ve known whose cases went to trial waived the right to a jury trial because their attorneys knew they didn’t have a chance in hell of winning with some of the idiots that presented themselves for jury duty. The last time I got called for jury duty it scared me that your life is in these morons hands. |
