164 years ago today, and one of the many hero regiments that fought that blistering, July day was your own 4th Reg't, Alabama Volunteer Infantry, who, with nothing more than pitiful, smooth-bore muskets, held a lonely, exposed cornfield (with the help of the 7th and 8th GA Inf. Reg'ts, and the ill-fated Col. Bartow) against the massed might of the Yankee Imperium. Thank God Almighty for raising up such men in our people's hour of need, and to H**l with modern Southern "men" who have neither the the guts nor the decency to honor their sacrifice.
