What's the current job prospects for a scumbag who just lost their job, in the Cookeville area? I'm not asking for (or even suggesting) anybody to offer them a job. I wouldn't wish them on anybody here, or on any small business owner who is trying to make ends meet while being fair to their customers. I just don't want this person to be anywhere closer to me, and I found out this morning that they lost their job and have started asking people (someone in Davidson County, who occasionally asks me about doing handyman type things on their house) if they can move in when they lose their apartment. So... Female, mid to late 50s, college degree and teaching certification (K-8, if my memory can be trusted) but completely gave up on that career after a couple years working in it ("too many rules to follow"), has experience with data entry and what would probably be considered customer support. No current addiction issues that I am aware of. I'm open to suggestions for larger companies in the Cookeville area that are hiring and are used to dealing with shifty employees that they can't trust. I'm in a position to pass along suggestions through the person who asks me about handyman stuff, but keeping it as simple as a company name and what street their office is on would probably be best. |

A friend's wife manages the McDonald's on Jefferson Ave. She frequently hires from the homeless shelter down the street and has worked several of them into a better position in life. All she asks and expects is to show up clean, in uniform and willing to work. The pay is really decent for the area as well. I think one of the major problems with America today is not enough families sit down to a big plate of squirrels momma just fried up.
