IMHO lots of questions about this. Routine "maintenance check" and they find an IED? How did they know it was an IED and determine that it was "live"? I saw the demo video of the device and the explosion didn't appear to be very big - more the demo charge by the PD / EOD than anything else. Again, JMHO, YMMV. |

Good questions, men! Thanks. Here in no. Ohio, we have this huge reservoir feeding the City of Akron. Ohio state route 14 bisects it--two lane highway cuts right across it--you can drive straight across Lake Rockwell--about 1,000 acres of water. Zero fences or guards up along the highway. I asked the governmental folks who allegedly guard and maintain it about what precautions they have about some terrorist or screwball dumping some toxin or poison in it from a speeding car or motorcycle. GOV hemmed and hawed with me and basically said; "Don't worry about it." Precious water-nneded for homes, industry, farms--and GOV isn't worried about it....
