Ive never camped outside of campgrounds. Well one time when I was younger I was in some woods with adults for deer camp. I have a canvas wall tent and would like to try tent camping down some trail I can drive to. Somewhere around Manistee, Mason, Lake, Oceana, or Newaygo county. Nothing against camping in campgrounds. I'd just like to be not near any people. |

I'd just like to be not near any people. There is plenty of national forest land you can camp on in this area. Pretty much just go.there and find a spot. Onx can be helpful, you can also download some pdf maps that work with avenza.
