Casa Grande has had a HUGE influx of people in the last few years and it is starting to show. Not just the unending traffic on city streets not meant to handle these many cars, but the SWAT standoff a few miles from my home last month started to show the cracks in the facade. Now, there was a murder at a bar less than two miles from me, just a few hours ago, and two miles in a different direction, a barricaded woman fired at cops then killed herself. 4 hours apart. BTW, the murderer from the bar, (a place that has darn good steaks on steak fry night), is still on the loose, don't know if on foot or in a vehicle. Before this I knew of one murder that made the news by us, a kid murdered two or three years ago, college kids being stupid and dangerous. Before that...she says really not much. They've left doors unlocked, sometimes wide open, on the family hacienda...well, until I arrived. Now proper locks, alarms, cameras, the whole nine yards in place. Prior to me moving in there wasn't a single firearm within 200 yards, and a single sharp knife, well hidden lest her incompetent adult children find it. The kids now live in a group home in the valley and, well, if you've seen my posts, my boy and I, we ain't exactly disarmed. I love my wife to death but as much as I say it over and over again, this town is NOT the same one you grew up in. Her family has literally been here for over 100 years, (not sure if that's something I would really tell people...), and it's amazing how fast this place has gone down hill over the last couple of years, thanks to Leftist communists...and now they want to flip AZ blue, the blue of a strangled man. |
