Been quite a few years since I was at Newport. Last time I was there was pre-covid. I know a lot of places have changed, just curious if Newport is still a nice place to visit. Im talking about downtown where the shops are. Coming from Connecticut, so unfortunately it is not legal for me to carry. Thanks |
| Chock full of people esp on weekends, and esp on weekends when there's some sort of big event, like a jazz/folk festival. Weekdays a little less crowded. Best time is weekdays just before kids get out of school, and just after they go back to school; Great mass of tourists bring their kids. |

Thanks for the replies guys. We typically visit every few years and sometimes visit the mansions. Will be heading to the breakers this summer and the shops after. Went one year at Christmas time to the mansions, was beautiful seeing it all decorated for Christmas, but was super crowded. |
