So I was talking to ole Moparmike tonight. We got to talking about old times, changes, etc As a few of you know I had a huge career change about 6 years ago. I'm now a Paramedic/Field Training officer in Little Rock. Part of what I do is public outreach and teaching classes like CPR and (more interesting to yall) Stop the bleed classes. So what I'm thinking is an old school get together. But instead of just dinner, a day of shooting with some tacmed portions, including stop the bleed certs, then dinner. I no longer have the connections for a place to shoot, and there are people far more qualified for the tacmed idea, but if others can handle some logistics we can get it all figured out. Think small scale William Wallace. If people are interested or have ideas, chime in. |

Having lived and attended meetups in various parts of the country, my suggestion is to section the state into reasonable sized regions, setup contact person(s) for each region, find local places to shoot, set date(s) and anyone that want to make the trek is welcome... I know, duh, sounds like an easy SOP... but one of the problems here in NWA is finding a good place to shoot. There are a couple 100 yd ranges in the area, but none with a lot of space for groups and they may not be available for public events or they're $$$. I'm not volunteering or looking for a job, just throwing my 2 bits into the pot... Now if someone had a good sized farm... |
