I have a friend who is about to move from AL to Mass. and he owns a pretty standard 16" carbine AR and probably a few magazines. I would like to give him a heads-up if he's thinking about taking his rifle. Maybe it's legal as is?, but probably not. Please @ me if you reply. |

Pre-ban mags were legal to buy and sell for a while but the cutoff date has passed. I'm not sure if an AR15 can be brought in anymore but I believe the answer is no. Post ban configuration was ok for a while. Others here have more knowledge about MA law than me. |

Thanks for the reply! I just texted him about the magazine restrictions and told him his AR is likely illegal to own there and to do his due diligence on gun laws before he becomes a felon. He replied back said he was going to sell them before he leaves. EDIT: to clairfy "them" as he is selling his AR and mags at the minimum. EDIT2: I'm buying another AR and a few 30rd mags. |
