Meeting my brother for a Packers game this 3 day weekend. Looking for a good steak and some sight seeing. We will have a vehicle so transportation will not be a problem. Any ideas would be great. Thanks. |
| Welcome. I do not get to Appleton often but I know there is a Scheels at the mall and one or two indoor ranges in town. If I wanted a steak, I would find a supper club. "Black Otter Supper Club" came up in my search but there may be others. I know there are a couple members here who are locals to that area. |

Thank you! Scheels is always a great visit. We don’t have them in WA. I will keep those restaurants in mind. I hope the locals chime in. Was looking into Georges steak house. |

Right across the river (North) from Georges is the Hearthstone House if you like old historical stuff. |

Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. I had a great time in Wisconsin. Definitely would like to return. George’s steak house was top notch. My bill was $43 for a four course meal. I also went to Lion’s tail brewery. Great time and good beer. I didn’t make it to Oshkosh. Maybe next time. Green Bay and Lambeau field was quite the experience. People in Wisconsin are very friendly and Appleton and Green Bay were very clean cities. I didn’t see trash on the sidewalks and streets. Also there was an abundance of beautiful mid western women everywhere! Appleton’s Draft Gastropub has an amazing Praline Old fashioned. Their blackened shrimp tacos were badass.
