Going to a military reunion in Amana colony 23 august. Looking to spend an afternoon at the Algona pow museum and an aviation museum in Greenfield. I went to the sac museum in eastern Nebraska before but I think there is a caf museum council bluffs. What else should I look for? I have been to the war museum near Waterloo and I just went to the camp dodge museum last year and the first weekend of august. |

The Amana Colonies has many shops and wineries to peruse. Woolen Mill and Furniture Shop come to mind. High quality stuff… The Antique Airplane Assoc. and AirPower Museum are in Blakesburg if you’re looking for some obscure old airplanes. Their flyin starts on Wed., so they’re getting ready for that. |

John Browning Museum on Rock Island Arsenal is closer. Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque will also be closer. to be fair to him he is from Texas so driving a couple hundred miles over a few day isn't bad probably

I drove east Texas to Kansas City Wednesday then kc to Joliet Illinois Thursday and Joliet area Friday to st Louis Saturday. I used to drive east Texas/Houston tx to Iowa City or Des Moines 1-5 times a month 2006-2015 as I was in the Iowa guard after oif1-2-3 Saturday at amana colony is a reunion of my oif1 Guard unit. |
