There wasn't really much rain this past season in the East Valley anyway. I know areas to the West and far East by NM had rain during the season. It seems like most of the rainfall here has been in the past month. I'm not complaining as it has greened up the mountains and everything overall. Just my limited observation as I'm just a part timer currently out here. |
| It's supposed to be another La Nina winter, which means drier, but who knows. |

Don't know what you would call all this rain, but I wouldn't call it a monsoon. IMO rain from a monsoon comes down fast, with a lot of wind and it overflows the wash that borders one side of our property. The rain this year is gentle, and spread out over days rather than an hour or two. |

According to Erica Horvatin, Fox 10 meteorologist she said that all he rains we’ve gotten so far “IS NOT DUE TO CLOUD SEEDING”, during the 10pm show last night. She was giving all rain total statics; this fall rains broke an 86-year-old record, something like 7.86” total. But I beg to differ, I drove down south on the 17th and notice a bunch of chem trails over Chandler, Maricopa and Gila Bend. After a while they will turn into very strange and thin clouds and those clouds did mix into the clouds that were coming in from Mexico that day. I got some rain at Crater Range also, and the next day (18th) the rains started and stayed for a few days. Pay attention to sky during the day and you’ll see these chem trails being made, right now (1357hrs) only clouds are coming from the SW, rest of the sky is clear. |

Practically nothing all of the "monsoon season". |

AZ monsoon is hot air, wind and pressure resulting in pressure my uninformed opinion is that all the large buildings and asphalt they keep building is messing that up these fall rains arent monsoons, just rain |

The rain we got last week came in from the Gulf of Alaska came down the west coastline and got pushed in Arizona with the jet winds going east, there some of the winter rains. The heat rising from all the newish (last 20 years) construction is pushing the majority of storms away or holding them to the south. Even the clouds have changed. When I first came to Tucson in 79 for years the clouds would build and you’d get a flashing light show for hours, then the wind and dust storm and finally a downpour. I can’t remember when the last time I saw the light show that always reminded me of Close Encounters. It’s all lightning bolts now. The dust storms also stopped because of construction. No more dust to stir up. That’s my observation from Tucson. |
