You're guess is as good as mine if HR38 actually makes it to the President's desk but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it gets signed into law. |

Today's event at the Middletown Arms Co. had Joe LoPorto of the New Jersey Firearm Owners Syndicate (NJFOS) teamed up with the General, Susan Esposito of Early Vote Action (EVA) to register voters and also sign the H.R. 38 petition to Congressman Chris Smith. The Middletown mayor Tony Perry stopped by along with police chief Craig Weber. Also in attendance were Asw Vicky Flynn, Asm Gerry Scharfenberger and Senator Declan O'Scanlon. There were also local candidates in attendance along with Jack4NJ Jack Ciatterelli. Last but not least the Pen Patriot, John Petrolino presented Ciatterelli the book "Decoding Firearms". Middletown Arms Co. employees and Vinnie the store owner with Jack Ciatterelli, the town's mayor and other politicians.  My town's police chief Craig Weber.  The General and friend.  NJFOS' Joe LoPorto with John Petrolino.  The Pen Patriot signing the HR38 petition.  Jack4NJ with Susan from EVA and Joe LoPorto from NJFOS.  John Petrolino, Jack Ciatterelli and Joe LoPorto. Petrolino had just presented Ciatterelli with a lanyard and his book "Decoding Firearms."  A little Jack4NJ supporter.  It was a good turnout and I got to see some old friends and even made some new ones. I also met many of the local politicians, the chief of police, as well as Jack Ciatterelli. I heard that they were able to get 60 signatures for the HR 38 petition and that next weekend there will be a similar petition signing event at WeShoot in Lakewood, NJ. eta: I forgot to add this pic of me with Jack Ciatterelli. eta: Congressmen Van Drew, Smith and Kean all voted YES for the Hearing Protection Act which passed the House 215 to 214. The HPA passed by one vote. One vote! The calls we made to our representatives got our NJ congressman off their butts and vote in our favor. Thank you to all who that took the time to call congress. Now we'll need to pressure the Senate to vote our way. eta2:  |
