I stopped by Guns And Gear Outlet LLC in Agawam today. Transfers are $30 for used, and $50 for new. The shop is nice. They have a lot of AR15 stuff. LPK's, stripped receivers, rails, complete guns, etc. They also have ammo. Not a lot. But they do have some. The guys I chatted with were nice and not pushy. They treated my girlfriend like a knowledgable gun person. Which she is.
I probably wouldn't use them for transfers. But I will do buisiness with them.

He does transfers from $25 to $40. Nice little shop, right on Rt. 2. Easy to find, and prices are competitive. He also has powder and .22lr. |

I have been debating in my head on whether or not I should do a review of a new shop near me. But I think I will. I will be honest, and if the owner is a member here, please take this as constructive criticism.
The Gun Rack in Turner Falls, MA. The owner, Norman, is a genuinely nice guy. He has a lot of energy, and his kids play baseball in the same league as my boys. His shop is new, so he is still getting set up. Always getting new inventory. I think he just got in a pallet of new AR's. Gun prices seem reasonable. Honestly forgot what his transfer fee was, but not out of line with the area, if I remember correctly. My wife has been treated like a gun person, not a silly woman who needs to let the men talk.(That goes a long way with me) My wife put her Glock 33 on consignment there, and it sold within a couple days. Recently, he posted on his Facebook page about getting in 200 preban AR mags. Nothing special about them, all used, $40 each. I asked if any of the internals and baseplate were replaced. The response I got was that nothing was replaced, and they recommend not replacing the baseplate, as that helps determine the validity of them being preban. And at $40 each, it's a significant savings from the $60 gun show prices. I didn't respond to that. But I have never seen a preban AR mag go for much over $30. Even at a gun show. As for the baseplates, I understand they say who made them. But, the date, the real preban indicator, is on or in the mag body. Not the baseplate. I replace all my baseplates with Magpul baseplates. Now, this isn't the first time he has come across, to me, as someone who thinks that because he has a FFL, he knows it all. I generally let it slide, as his shop is a 5 minute ride from my house, and I don't want to get kicked out, or piss him off. I do feel that those that are new to guns won't know any different, and take his word as gospel. After all, he is a gun dealer, he should know. I know MA gun laws are confusing. And I know I have been wrong on them at times. But if someone points something out, that differs from what I believe to be right, I look it up. He seems to be stuck on the, "I'm an FFL, I know what i'm talking about", attitude. Granted, he does it in a nice way, and not like a prick. But he still does it. I plan on continuing visiting the shop, and probably buying stuff there. Norman is a nice guy. I just hope he does take other people's input in to consideration. I apologize for my rambling on. Guess I just had to get it out.
