Definitely worth going, especially if you've never been (which it sounds like you haven't). Lot's of firearms related stuff but also a lot of non firearms stuff worth looking at. Kind of like a mini Bass Pro/Cabelas, but locally owned. They started from humble beginnings and are worth supporting. |

I just wish they weren’t so cutthroat on the money they offer for used guns. I stopped at the “security desk” or whatever they call it to get my gun (an old 870) checked going in. I have purchased at least 20 firearms from private individuals while waiting at the counter in Greentop. I picked up two Bul Armory pistols because they offered sub-$1K prices to the guy that was trying to unload them while I was waiting for my new purchase 4473 to clear. I caught him in the parking lot and offered him respectable offers with cash that he accepted. |

Minimal ARs, and larger capacity pistol magazines are also limited. They have a single barrel of AR PMAGs. Their ammunition area appears to have been reduced also. If you havent been to the store for the past month, they have consolidated the firearms section, combining the used pistol, new pistol, previous NFA item counter, and AR/rifile/shotgun counter into a single island style counter. They have reduced the capacity length of the line to wait for suppressors, making it into a dog leg as opposed to the continuous length between the previous gun case, gun cleaning, and archery aisles. They also appear to have reduced the number of folks working behind the counters. Previously, the combined total folks working behind-the-counters averaged 10+. Now it appears they have about 6 combined behind the single island. I went in yesterday to pick up a suppressor, and a few people ended up walking out because they could not get served for the pistols. It appears that they have committed to reducing their dependency on in-store fire arms purchases based upon the reduction in foot print. |

Mid-2025, I transitioned to using Greentop only for my Silencer Shop transfers, but have since switched to another SS Dealer network shop closer to me. DK typically beats the prices advertised at Greentop, and also offers to order what ever they do not have in shop. |

That's my old zip code.  Unfortunately your DK gun shop would be about twice the trip for me as it is for you. I'm currently about an hour south of Mechanicsville, where I grew up. |
