There are currently 4 at all the vehicle entrances to Lowes. Was there this morning and noticed copious red spray paint on each camera’s lens.  There’s been a post about these cameras going around local FB groups and it looks like someone real interested in privacy (or shoplifting) has taken it upon themselves to blind the cameras. Lowes says it’s used for loss prevention. There are obvious and far reaching implications for privacy at the same time. |

I’d rather Lowes contract with someone outside of Flock’s umbrella and/or do the work within their own company though. I’d be all for a ballot initiative in MT to limit the use of Flock and outlaw the data being transported across state lines or something though. Ask yourself how exactly a flock camera helps with loss prevention. They have them at the missoula location too and I've mentioned to them on more than one occasion when asked about my shopping experience there that my spending will continue to decrease because of them. Every last one of those things should be destroyed across the whole country. |

There are more companies, such as Motorola, that have the same tech. Flock just gets all the press of late. Cameras are at Lowes in Helena and Bozeman too. Home Depot in Great Falls. In case you were not aware, there is an interactive map.. Deflock.org |
