Taking advantage of the newfound freedom here as a refugee from WA. Want to try this FRT thing all the kids are talking about these days. Are there ranges that are agreeable to that kind of repeat fire or will we need to find an "unorganized" shooting site? |

FRGC doesn't care. You'll have to check the website for open public days. CDA Rifle and Pistol Club has a public range, though I'm not sure if they have any official stance on NFA/FRT use. I've never been there. |

I’m within earshot of CDA rifle and pistol and have never heard FRT’s. On the other hand I hear multiple FRT’s on adjacent bays every time I go to Fernan. There is also Hayden Creek but I’ve never felt safe shooting there. |

I suspected there would be acceptance of FRT's in a state where MG's are not forbidden. Yeah, yeah, we moved back here (after a couple generations) from that state to the west that has fallen to the freaks. ETA: any opinions of CDA Rifle and Pistol? It's closer than Fernan. My back fence bordered a gun club before we moved, got a little spoiled. Not as spoiled as having property of one's own to shoot on but close. |

Not super related but does anyone know why the pit on clagstone between athol and Blanchard got blocked off? That's a great place to shoot if it's not too crowded. |

It's state land (department of lands) but there have been a ton of new houses built on the plateau to the south. I'm sure enough complaints have been made that it's been gated off. |

Very RSO controlled. Fernan has non member days, check the Web calendar for info, June 8th is the next one. Hayden Creek is National forest and has a shooting area, kinda sketchy at times. Its as safe as you make it. Sand pit off Clagstone is ok when there are not alot of people. |

I bet another bay or two could be fenagled into the current overflow parking.. and I'll bring my entire extended family if I want.. I can occupy a bay for three hours, but I can only bring 2 guests? lol. I haven't used the shoot house in years, but it's sad to hear it's out of commission. |
