Repeal unconstitutional laws. For close to a decade now, I've been fighting the Under-21 Carry Ban that has been in place since 1987. Florida's Republican lawmakers constantly campaign they're pro-gun, but when it is time to actually pass pro-gun legislation, they've refused to do it. This is a major win, because in the span of of less than a year, through the courts, Florida's gun owners have been able to have the Open Carry Ban and the Under-21 Carry Ban has been ruled unconstitutional with the Mandatory Waiting Periods next.

Federal courts move at two speeds, glacial and tectonic. And the State Legislature is of no help, they have refused to tackle these issues since they favor gun control. |

In my other home of Iowa, our super-majorities of "Republicans" have nitpicked excuses to advance further needed 2A reforms, not wanting to rock the boat befor the next election. Our House Speaker is angling for his Grandfathers US Senate seat and will not do anything to draw attention to himself hoping his last name will get him that seat in 2028. None of them have noticed that the Chamber of Commerce is run by leftist in Iowa, yet they bow down to them every session. They have blown off the 2A crowd so much, that a leftist trust fund baby has a real shot at the Governors office this fall. This in a state that 65.17% voted to add 2A protection to the state Constitution in 2022. Florida's experience with term limits have shown what a disaster they can be. |
