Thought about getting a Suzuki DR400SM until I had the chance to sit on one. I'd have to do the sketch to the side of the seat to put a foot down. As for dirt, not my thing. BTW at the CHicago Motorcycle show over a decade ago I nearly dominoed the whole line of Kawi dirt bikes getting off one.  |

The roads in the Nicolet are U.S. Forest Service roads, not state forest. Just a word of warning. They have their own LEOs, and rangers can also issue citations. If it is not street legal (license plate & registered as a motor vehicle & insured) it's not legally allowed on those roads if they're not a designated trail. Any road that does not have a brown sign with the road number, at it's beginning, is off limits to all vehicles, foot travel only. Some are bermed or gated, others are not, just left unmarked. I live nearby about 4 miles away. I don't have a 2 wheel dirt bike, but I do have a UTV, and I go out there in my Jeep almost every day. I'm perfectly legal in the Jeep, but 100% illegal in the UTV. |

Taking my boys over there is a pain because they don't deal with deep sand well so it's always a struggle getting them back to the trails. I have to get to more OHV parks. I enjoy it, but with 3 boys in travel baseball...time is not something I have excess of right now. What do you like about Tigerton? Problem is, by the time I do have the time, I won't have the ability anymore lol I wish we had more federal public lands around. I went out to Montana with a buddy of mine that moved out there. We rode for hours on public land, never rode the same trail twice, and the views were amazing. |

Tigerton is a solid single track with one area is 9 miles of single track...and there is a two mile area of single track with some hill climbing area there is a lot of big rocks to play with and climb, they also have camping and solid areas for quads and 4 wheelers yea going out west is the deal for sure, you can go for days and certainly more dirt bike friendly the WI I'm 60... don't fool yourself that you can't keep doing this once the kids are gone...just don't try to clear tabletops, you won't heal as fast

A Chevy Silverado is a "street legal" vehicle too... but only is if it has a license plate and insurance. They are anal about the insurance. I know quite a few people with dual sport bikes without license plate or insurance. |
