| Are destructive devices now legal here? And were they ever not legal or have I just been living in ignorance over the past several years? I've wanted a DD for years but for some reason I thought I read they were not allowed here, and now a few websites are saying DD's are legal (through NFA, of course).... |

When you say "here" do you mean Alaska or the US? DD's are completely legal in AK and can either be a form 1 or form 4. Off the top of my head i can't remember if there are any 09's or 10's SOT's up here (Dealer or MFG of DD's). An SOT, I can't remember if an 01/03 can but an 07/02 can transfer 2 DD's a year without needing to be an 09/10. I have transferred a couple M79's to guys. There are some DD's that fall into the dealer only category. Like the HK619 or GLM. But something like an M79/M203/MK19 you can have. |
| Awesome, thanks. I meant here in AK. I have several suppressors and SBRs but must have looked at bad information when I moved up here in 2016 because the entire time I thought DD's weren't allowed. Now it's time to add some 40mm to the collection. I appreciate the response. |
