Dems were able to flip the 36th state senatorial district from Red->Blue in the special election yesterday. This district was +15 Trump in November. They also held the state house. The PA GOP (and all of us frankly) have to get on the ball or we're sunk at the state level in the 2026 election. Seat was held by republicans since the 70s. Ballotpedia says redistricted in 2022 but I don’t see that referenced anywhere else. If ballotpedia is correct then this was first election since, and the new district according to that site includes more of Lancaster proper. Would need to see a map of the new district and what parts of lanco. May need to get on the Amish again to make the special elections. In the North Central PA counties I am seeing an influx of Amish fleeing NY. Losing this Senate seat in this special election and the superior court seat last primary, is not good. Also Josh Prince not making the primary to the court seat was a bummer as well. |
