It was weird, I was in high school in Arlington at the time of the riot (February 9, 1993) and I don't remember it at all. Other than more general "don't go to Dallas or you'll get eaten" sentiment. The seige and destruction of the Branch Davidians started a couple weeks later and I remember that clearly. |

There will be a No Kings protest in Sherman tomorrow. Sherman PD hasn't released an official statement yet, but this was posted to the Sheriff's department FB page. "The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is aware of a planned protest scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Grayson County Courthouse Square. We want to remind everyone that peaceful protest is a constitutional right, and we respect the rights of all individuals to express their views lawfully and peacefully. Our deputies will be in the area to help ensure the safety of everyone involved, as well as the general public.
