I think tomorrow's activities could be interesting, considering the left has really stirred their pets into such a frenzy. Hopefully, it won't be in Texas, but Dallas has turned into such a weird shithole, I don't have much confidence in it not being just as bad as some of the other urban shitholes. Dallas has really gone downhill since the Clint Murchison/Ross Perot/Hunt Brothers era. Need moar Jock Ewing to straighten the place out. |

Thanks for all the updated info, OP. I'm concerned about what's taking place in Dallas today and this evening. My wife and daughter will be attending a show at AA Center this evening around 7:00 pm. I'm wondering if the potential for rain will affect the protestor's turnout. Any Dallas updates? |

I cross MLK and Malcolm X more than I should. Nobody has done any maintenance on their crosswalk since they painted it. You'd think someone would at least hit it with a pressure washer. You can't even read it, just looks like a red stripe with tire marks, not from abuse, just traffic. But wait, we need $600 million for deferred maintenance on city hall so we'll make some kind of sweetheart real estate deal and tell everyone it will only be $900 million to build a new one. |

This assault on a jogger in a park caused a lot of fuss on Plano Nextdoor. Half saying "things aren't safe" and the other half saying "no, it's cool, just like the old days, make sure to keep pepper spray, don't listen to music, go with a friend, don't go after dark". Anyways, I have no desire to be banned so not posting this there  . Really, I figured it was a domestic dispute.

Also, there is increasing opposition/organization, at least on Reddit, against Legih Wambsganss of Southlake Families PAC fame, who is in a runoff for Texas Senate District 9 (special election to replace the previous senator through 2026). Reddit hates her for trying to control the school board to clean up the trans activism in schools. Her opponent is supported by the usual suspects on the left, who do things like "hack" her signs below. If you're in Senate District 9, please vote starting Jan 21, with the main election on Jan 31.
