Checking for a family member and want to confirm these are still not compliant. Saiga .308 Romak AK74S Grendel P30 Norinco SKS (lots of mods) CZ VZ52 Also wondering if there have been any firearm law changes since I checked last February. I am in Florida so I don’t keep up with NJ laws. Thanks! |

We're still restricted to only 10 round magazines so be sure that Grendel P30 or the others you listed have no more than 10 round mags. Also NJ has banned the SKS with detachable magazines but your relative's SKS should be good to go as long as it has a fixed non removable hinged magazine and does not have a collapsible stock. All the other firearms you listed should be good to go. IANAL so take what I wrote with a grain of salt. | The Saiga, Romak and Grendel all have 30 round mags. The SKS has a duckbill mag. My grandfather had a few other SKS but this one he bought on a whim and it has a Dragunov style stock, duckbill mags, flash hider, bipod and a scope rail on the cover. All would be convertible back to original but none of the original parts came with it. So we would need to buy a stock, and fixed mag. Not impossible but he had a lot of other options so we can just leave it here till they decide what to do eventually. The VZ-52 has an integrated bayonet and detachable mag. |
