Have to drive through New York  before & after Easter. Would one of you store my carry guns while I'm in Leftist hell?

| Only driving through? You can unload and transport through New York state. Probably best to actually disassemble the firearm, seperate it from ammunition, and store it out of reach during transport. I would probably also choose something with 10 round magazines or less. |

If need be, I am along the I-84 interstate about 15-20 minutes drive from the NY boarder in PA. Depending on your travel time and route through PA. You may want to look up FFL's with a known trusting reputation. But honestly, I would just disarm before crossing into strict states, unload and stow the firearms per the transport laws. Just avoid NYC area, go with the flow of traffic and be careful. What route are you planning on passing through NY? I Might be able to give you drive time, areas to avoid/not stop in and the common radar locations. Ps. If traveling through any part of NJ, hollow points are taboo if I recall correctly. Think you are allowed to have them in your house, but not in public for self defense. Have not followed it much due to not living or going there only when absolutely necessary. |
| If I end up going through Canada, I'll mail my carry guns home from Pennsylvania & just take my Winchester 1897 with me. We'll see how things shape up. Adding Canada & Michigan for funsies adds a lot of miles. |

Not sure of the case you're referring to but there is literally a FAQ on the NJSP site stating that critical duty are not "hollow nose" under the law and legal to carry: https://nj.gov/njsp/firearms/firearms-faqs.shtml (scroll down to number 13) Even with a license to carry you cannot carry traditional JHP in NJ, they must have a covered tip. |
