| Paint me a skeptic. I’ve been told , yelled at, that FOID is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for 52 years. It ain’t going anywhere and either is the AWB. If you think SCOTUS is gonna rule for us and Illinois is gonna open the floodgates to MSRs you just don’t understand the anti gun states mindset. |

If they decide to take it, then the decison from that case (probably summer of '25) will presumably be applicable to IL. Thomas wants that one badly. Hell, if it were up to him, the NFA might be stricken in that decison. He needs three others to agree to take the case. Alito is in, and probably Gorsuch. Barrett has been a disappointment, and Roberts is a pussy who doesn't want to rock the boat. We need frat boy Kavanaugh to come out swinging for our side. |

Yeah, summer of 2025 (or at least whenever the Supreme Court rules on the MD case) is going to likely be a game changer for our rights and the firearms industry, one way or another! Assuming it is a win, I still think we are going to see a lot of states and localities continue to pass unconstitutional bans that still have to be struck down in drawn out court cases. @Sven, I agree. As long as anti 2A state legislatures can use state coffers to defend blatantly unconstitutional laws that deny the rights of their citizens, this trend will continue. Anti gun state legislators should be banned from using tax dollars for court cases and instead use the monies in their re-election campaign war chests. Gary |
