That juror was replaced by an alternate, and the jury restarted deliberations. -- That sequence of events is interesting to me. The one time I was on jury duty I was an alternate. Once the jury went to deliberations I was excused and didn't have to be in the jury room for deliberations. I guess criminal cases are handled differently. |
