When the OGCA was kicked out of the Roberts Center in Wilmington I thought that would be the end of all gun shows there. Nope. There's a new one, not OGCA, coming on April 25th and 26th. Ive been to the ones in Louisville. But only when its in conjunction with the Show Of Shows. So you get 2 shows in the same day in the same convention center. Unfortunately they planned it for the same weekend as the Big Bore Blast. So I won't be able to make it. But if anyone is driving up to the shoot on Saturday, they could hit it up on the way back Sunday and make a nice weekend of guns. |

The only show ive been to in ohio that was a bit interesting was an OGCA show. Other than that, I like the findlay military vehicle swap meet in May, its not a gun show, but is worth the time in my opinion The big bore blast is going to be worth it. People are driving from Arizona, North Carolina etc, flying in from Washington. It'll be an experience, the vendor row is still growing, but it'll already be the size of a smaller gunshow in ohio. |
| I went to this show today, Sunday 4/26. There were many old guys trying to sell their old guns at tables, very few walk around buyers, many rifles on display, many expensive nice military surplus, a decent amount of NFA weapons, $15 to get in, free parking, a bit over an hour drive for me. I'll probably pass on this one in the future. Still have the gun I wanted to sell. I did buy a case of Lawman 124gr 9mm for $280 cash out the door. |

As for security, there was one police officer at the entrance door to the lobby directing people with guns to a check-in table. The check-in table was staffed by three police officers. Not employees of the show organizer. The big door into the venue room was also manned by a police officer. I can't blame the Roberts Centre for requiring this to avoid another incident. -- OGCA had a table at this show.
