Has Asheville recovered from Helene? We were there a few years ago and loved it. We will be in the area in a month and would like to spend our money there. Is the art district and Biltmore village in decent shape? |

Yes, it’s recovered. To the degree it was before, no, likely never will for the foreseeable future. I have seen lots of news coverage of the WNC region including Asheville and it’s slowly getting better. Probably the biggest thing you will notice depending on your route from TN, is I-40 through the gorge. It’s down to one lane in each direction and is still years away from being open in both directions. Biggest issue is if there’s a wreck as it shuts down in pretty much both directions. Prepare accordingly. |
| Wife and I visited the Biltmore to see the Christmas decorations and the whole place looks pretty much untouched from Helene. |
