I'm heading to the Art Institute Saturday.  I haven't been there in about 20 years or so.  Do they have metal detectors?  Asking for reasons.

I saw that but saw something similar on the Field Museum's website last time I checked a couple years ago, got there, and there wasn't anything.

In 2023 the Shedd had a blurb on its website. My buddy reported no machines and inattentive humans manually sesrched his backpack.

Following up for anyone who might come across this thread.  They had one of those "weapon detecting" scanners as soon as you walk in.  No way around it.

no reason to be armed there. seriously. I have been going there for decades, never had a issue. youll be fine.
