We spent today hiking. Tomorrow we are offroading and maybe hitting some Indian ruins. We're heading up to Antelope Canyon Wednesday, and are thinking about Jerome on Thursday. We're pretty flexible, though. |

Jerome is nice drive from Sedona. Lots of little shops, boutiques, etc. Check out Haunted Hamburger for lunch. Don't speed or park anywhere that is questionable...Jerome PD loves to give speeding and parking tickets (I'm not convinced the entire town budget is funded by parking/speeding tickets). Pink Jeep tours in Sedona are fun. Slide Rock is a good day trip (swimming) up the canyon (you likely passed it on your way through Oak Creek. If you like natural spring water, there is a well known spring on the side of the road near the north end of the canyon, just before the switchbacks start, called Harding Spring (its on Google Maps). The water is excellent! When I drive through the area, I always bring a couple of 5 gallon water jugs to fill up. Lots of great eats in Sedona and the surrounding communities! If burgers are your thing try G’s burgers in cornville easily my favorite in the region. Out of Africa wildlife park in camp verde is great for kids, and I enjoyed it as an adult also. If history buff go to fort verde state park, an Apache war era frontier fort and museum also in camp verde. If you have a bug to shoot full auto the copper state shooting range ( same entrance road as out of Africa) rents MG’s and has a 100 yard indoor range. |
