Is Mason Valley in Wyoming and this post is misplaced or...?

Is it a machine gun shoot, machine guns being denied to average citizens in California?

Confused I am.

It’s an NRL Hunter match about 30 miles from Julian, CA on the east slope down near Shelter Valley.

I found the area on Google Maps but could not find a shooting range. This puzzled me, so I thought I'd ask for clarification.
