I will be making a run down to Weaver AL on Friday to look at some sewing equipment. If I buy it, I will spend the night there and don't want to leave the machines in the truck, so some of the motels in the area that have exterior doors looks ideal for an easy download and upload. Is that an OK area to spend the night? Or should I get on the road and head towards Gadsen? |

You’re close to Anniston and it’s not a good area. I don’t know how far out thugs from Anniston travel. If you’re going back to KY, there’s a Hampton Inn in Jacksonville that’s pretty nice and in a good area. You can turn on highway 204 just past Jacksonville State’s campus and get back to Highway 431 and to I-59 in Gadsden pretty easily. Also, watch your speed if you’re driving on Highway 431 going through Glencoe, Gaston, and Alexandria as they’re known for being speed traps. |

The land of a 1000 stop lights, especially starting at Gadsden. The stop lights are timed to the speed limit. Unless you hate your brakes, just do the speed limit no matter what the road raging crossover driver fresh off bible camp and riding under your rear bumper wants you to do. |
