Apparently laws changed and 3 liter whiskey can now be sold in the US(my boss has one from Canada). I've heard of them showing up in Illinois and California, anyone seen them here? |

It's been a long time since I was in a Texas liquor store but I know that a Texas 5th was much larger. Like a gallon larger. My grandfather had one he (we) sampled out of for years. We drank out of it at my wedding reception. The Alaska 5th was much larger than that. Here again. it's been 45 years since I was in a Texas licquor store. kwg |

Funny thing is, I could swear I remember my dad buying bottles labelled as a half gallon in the mid 80s, but everything I'm reading says that stopped in 1980-I was 3 at the time. |
