We certainly did. Golf ball sized that beat the hell out of our car, roof, and garage doors. Luckily, my son is a regional manager for a roofing company, and he is going to personally handle inspecting our roof, and those of a couple of our neighbors. Hopefully the good companies out there will keep the fly-by-nights at bay. |

He grew up, served as a Marine, and then in the Army. Got blown up and discharged and now doing his thing. I hope that all is well with you.

I left work in South Dallas to get lunch in Hutchins yesterday. Heavy rain till I crossed I20, then nothing. Got a burger and came back, rain again north of I20. I pull into work, everyone had moved their cars and was standing in the shed. What happened? Nickle and dime sized hail in the 20 minutes I was gone. |

I did a similar thing, I left my 4runner at my work (mutli-level parking garage, in the middle) and Lyft'd home. My other car I didn't give a shit if it got hailed on, I'm trying to replace it at some point. Then Lyft'd back in the morning. The storm went almost completely around Tarrant county, didn't even drop any hail beyond small sizes until it went south, and presumably re-intensified by meeting the retreating high-energy mass in the air. Hey, if I gotta do $40-50 every time we are expected to get really nasty hail to not get hit by it, I consider that a win. Beats the hell out of auto dent & glass, not to mention a new roof.
