I'll be up in the Buffalo/Williamsville area next week and might have some time to kill? Any really good gun shops worth checking out? Specifically a place with a decent selection of used guns and might be willing to ship if I find something cool? I'm also into model cars/RC's so if you know if a great hobby shops in the area that you'd recommend that would be cool too. Thanks |

Wolcott guns is the only thing I can think of nearby. Haven't been there in years, no idea on selection. In years past, I've had luck with Johnsons up in Lockport for used stuff, but that was 20 years ago and they're about 30-45 mins from the williamsville area. There used to be really nice hobby shop not too far away, but it appears that they closed up. |
| Thanks for the info. I'll be hitting on Fin Feather Fur Outfitters on the way up (and/or way back) which is a really cool store. They don't have much (if anything) in the way of used guns but its a great place for ammo and reloading supplies so that should take care of gun fix. |

Former WNY resident now an Arizonan visiting right now. NY burdensome regulations worsening all the time, make it a hard place for gun shops to stay in business. There are a few, but nothing like 30 years ago. Law in NY is a shop can not even let you touch a handgun without a NY permit, so can’t even shop for handguns here to ship out ! NY is gun owner hell which one of multiple reasons i no longer consider it home. Make a trip once a year or so to visit family, but otherwise steer clear |
