Anybody seeing signs of the rut? I have a (probably) button buck on cam video trying to mount a doe but I'm not sure that counts. What are you guys seeing out there? |

Too lazy to hunt here*, but have cameras. All I see is movement-at night. Three different bucks and a doe or two. Haven't seen a buck during the day for a month or two now. *Even though i don't hunt, I still buy a license/tag each year in case opportunity knocks in the side yard. |

| We have a crazy amount of deer here in the J2 section. I just rode by a field where deer roam at the break of dusk and dawn. Three implants I'm guessing, so called hunters probably out of MA, NJ or NY I spotted at the outside perimeter of the field standing stupid. Sorry guys, you're about five hours too late. LOL |

The hunter safety guy said "Its like this. You shoot a good buck and he does not drop right there but makes a 700 yard run and now he's in the neighbors land. Sure you could prove you tracked him there if the blood trail is still ok. but whats mr Fish cop gonna think 1st when your dragging that buck back to your property? With no license... Its not like they are 200$.. But hey if you got that kind of land and are that good a shot.. go for it.. not all of us have that much land to work with |
| Even if you have land to work with they can run a ways. I shot a 5 pt Tuesday morning and it ran about a hundred yards, onto my neighbors land. Fortunately, we're good friends so it was no problem. |
