I’ll be in Vancouver for a weekend by myself in a few weeks. Anywhere I should go? I’ll have a rental car, depending on if the roads are plowed it should be ok. I’ve got insurance. I’m willing to drive about 4hrs in any direction. Will have two weeks in the city so would prefer not to stay there. |

Just flew into Vancouver yesterday. Currently working out of an office in Gastown. Lots of nice places to eat and public transportation is reliable. My wife and I will try to make it to a few museums, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Capilano Bridge, and maybe a brewery.
Make sure you bring a raincoat. |
| When we were kids, we would go to Canada to visit family 2-3 times a year. I always liked Vancouver. When I got old enough to drive, I used to really enjoy the diversity of restaurants in Vancouver, compared to Portland, OR where we lived. The diversity of restaurants in Portland has improved, but still doesn't hold a candle to Vancouver. |
