| Well, down the way on Century are a number of hotels. These usually have some very friendly natives. For just a few $ you can wile away your hours. |

| What day, what time? Flying to and from San Diego or San Francisco fits the time maybe? I kid. I'm way the hell the other side of the area and LAX is ugly for traffic and getting around. I'm not Uber/Lyft conversant to no idea how to work that. Maybe Getty Museum, Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica? No special places, I don't get over there often. There's an In an Out on the north edge of the airport on Sepulveda, gets plane watchers for the north runways and maybe half mile or so south on Sepulveda, too. In a small business/food mall with a couple of other quick eateries. Last time or 2 tried the middle Eastern place and was really good. Not sure adventurous eateries before flying is a great idea? They're on Google maps, etc. |

Yeah, it's all going to depend on the day, arrival time, and departure time. Only six hours on a Friday afternoon or evening; forget it. By the time you get anywhere in traffic, you'll have to turn around and come right back in more traffic. Camp out at the Rock & Brews in Terminal 5. | I did this a couple of weeks ago, had a 7 hour layover in LA and was able to hit some places from my youth. I rented a car through Hotwire for like $40 bucks and grabbed some Hawaiian snacks in Torrance. Hit my favorite Mexican place in Gardena, Burnt Tortilla. Ate and hung out at my Sisters house in Torrance, she was out of town. Dropped the car off and was at the gate 1 1/2 hours before my flight. Very doable |

There is an In and Out on Sepulveda and W 92 Street that sits at the end of the runway. There is a little plane watching park next to it, also. That probably would not require a car. You could Uber to Randy’s Donuts. Maybe Venice Beach and watch the skateboarders and/or the Santa Monica Pier. Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory. The Getty. There’s a ton to do and see, but traffic will be the limiting factor on how many things you can do. LAX has a ton of driverless taxis, so transportation to things nearby won’t be a problem. |

If I can move to one stop we can leave 2 hours after we land at LAX otherwise we may be spending the night. |
