I just got a 50 BMG and am not really sure where I can fire it. Suggestions? |

Where are you in the state? I use lead valley range, its a 40 min drive from E470 and I70 (out by buyers). They do monthly induction classes, they go over the rules for all new member, but after that you are your own range officer. I usually go mornings mid week, and effectively have a private range. They have private berns, 50y, 100y, 500y, and lots of shotgun stuff I haven't yet used. It the member appreciation picnic today, so you can probably just swing by and check out the place. |

You can find more info online, its annual membership plus a first year charge to cover the induction. Normally the gate is locked, so phone ahead and talk to the owners before turning up. I'm a member and can bring guests so PM me once this heat passes if you want to take a look (and sight in your 50). I'm staying out the sun the rest of the summer! |

I just got a Serbu BFG-50A and scored 300 rds of LC M33. Still need to run down an optic. Agreed on the heat, this isn't a day to be on the range. |

Frontier Sportsman allows 50 BMG on the 1000 yard range at the South facility. Near Hanover, CO, out east of the PPIR facility between the Springs and Pueblo. And you can always go to the Whittington Center in Raton, NM for the weekend. |
