| Found out about 5:30 or so today that Allan Blowles/ArkLaTex gunshows is setting up in Tyler this weekend at the new fairgrounds buildings on 64 east of Tyler. Got a pair of tables, and was able to get at least my knife sharpening gear there tonight. i'll be there only Saturday, but should have a few friends there covering on Sunday since i have to work. This just popped up suddenly from that i'm seeing. Looks full as that building gets at least, and i'll be sure to bring a little heater since we are getting a cold snap tonight. |

Is Alan w/ ArkLaTex? I thought they were defunct. I thought Alan ran AllTex. East or West of Tyler? West - it's the East Texas State Fairgrounds on Hwy 64 going towards the airport from Tyler. | so i figure i'd throw this out there. I work part time at a local Gun Shop and this Mesquite Gun show we are going to have a Table set up. So stop by and see us at Lateral Limits. I will for sure be working the table saturday. Not sure about Sunday, but i know the shop owner will be there both days. |

After action report from Tulsa: Got rid of a few things, mainly small parts, knives, and optics. BUT found not one, but TWO of my Grail Guns!!! First got an Unfired Navy Arms Lemat from the first run they did in the early 80s, and it appears to be unfired. Takedown was hard because the original grease had hardened over time. Box has all the originial paperwork in it, although the foam has kind of rotted over the years. Gun did clean up very well however. The other one is a CVA .69 caliber Blunderbuss. This one has been fired, will need a good cleaning, but has a brass barrel so no real corrosion on it. Now to find some balls and shot to have fun......although may leave the LeMat unfired for a while. |
